Matterport Pro3
The Pro3 camera makes it easy for photographers to digitize every aspect of the physical world, indoors and outdoors. Working in combination with Matterport’s 3D capture technology and cloud software platform, the camera captures and creates a built environment’s “digital twin” – a vivid, accurate, interactive model of the space. Ammunition worked with Matterport’s leadership, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop the industrial design, UX design, product strategy, and packaging for the new camera.
The Pro3’s industrial design immediately communicates that a powerful combination of sensors are working in precise harmony to create stunning, accurate images, but the camera is also designed to withstand the rigors of industrial use. To serve imaging professionals, every aspect of the product’s form, behavior, and interface has been optimized for ease and reliability in the field. On-product controls and interfaces have been pared back to the simple essentials, a novel mounting mechanism makes for quick mounting and dismounting, and everything about the small, lightweight product and carry case was created for smooth work on the go.
