Ammunition collaborated with Culligan’s product leadership, engineering, and manufacturing teams to lead industrial design, user experience, and engineering efforts. From early concept explorations and testing through production, our work started with a clear challenge: design a better water filter—one that feels aspirational, easy to use, and well made. Taking the most popular 10-cup pitcher size as the baseline, we developed a platform that adapts to multiple sizes. A narrow 5-inch footprint allows for fridge door storage, while the clean, minimal form fits naturally into a wide range home décor styles.

To improve everyday use, we shaped the handle through extensive ergonomic testing for a stable, comfortable grip. Each product includes Culligan’s removable TDS meter, which shows the level of total dissolved solids in your water. This gives users a direct, visible way to understand what the filter is doing—often bringing tap water readings from 100–500 ppm down to a perfect zero. The line is designed to feel at home in the kitchen—elevated, durable, and considered. The result is a new visual and interaction language for Culligan, raising the bar for how these products should look and feel. Culligan’s ZeroWater line reflects the evolution of a well-established brand, expanding its reach and relevance through meaningful design—while helping people enjoy healthy water at home.
